Ever wonder what the world might be like in 2020?

2020 Vision introduced high school students and teachers to national security issues and fostered critical thinking skills through the technique of scenario building.

“Keeping Science Alive!”

LASER (Leadership Academy for Science Education Reform) began in 1994 as a three-year leadership institute for elementary school teachers.

The success of LASER was carried on through BIPAC (Best Instructional Practices Across the Curriculum). This professional development program included a series of math and science symposia focusing on effective teaching strategies.

Through LInC (Leadership Institute Integrating Internet, Instruction, and Curriculum), Sandia/CA created a network of teachers who used technology to support engaged learning. Teams of classroom teachers created projects that incorporated the best uses of technology, including the Internet.

“Sharing the Science of Sandia!”

SUPER! (Science Understanding Promotes Environmental Responsibility) was a professional enhancement program for middle and high school teachers.
