FY06 proved to be yet another year of great milestones and successes for the internship/co-op program at Sandia National Labs/CA. Fourteen interns became Sandians through the program, which is designed to be a pipleine to employment.
Below is a breakdown of our FY06 intern hires:
- 8 technical staff members (36% of total CA technical staff hires)**
- 2 technologists (22% of total CA technologist hires)
- 1 postdoc (4% of total CA postdoc hires)
- 2 limited-term employees (40% of total CA limited-term hires)
- 1 administrative employee (20% of total CA administrative hires)
- 1 one-year on campus (OYOC) employee (50% of total CA OYOC hires)
**NOTE: 1 technical staff member is participating in our OYOC program
Our internship/co-op program continues to supply a pool of high-caliber potential hiring candidates. Record numbers of Intern Profiles (online intern applications) are submitted on a daily basis, and recruiters are bombarded with exceptional student résumés wherever they go.
